Reasons why I decided to start this blog

Welcome on my new blog!

I am Giulia and this is my very first article on this blog. There is no need to tell you how excited I am, I've been waiting for this moment so long that now it doesn't seem real to me. But here I am, sitting on an uncomfortable chair in my kitchen, writing these first messy lines.

I want to start immediately by introducing myself, or rather by presenting a part of me: Brezza d'arte.

This is my art dissemination project, born more than a year ago and to which I dedicate myself every day with total love and dedication.

But let's start from the beginning of the story

How was the idea of Brezza d'Arte born?

In autumn 2020, during the Covid 19 lockdown, I decided to open an Instagram profile to collect photographs and thoughts on exhibitions and museums that I had visited: I had no specific purpose, it was simply my own place, a sort of personal diary, that allowed me to reread what I had written months before about an exhibition or a masterpiece.

However, after a few weeks, I discover the magical and beautiful world of the Art Sharers.

I'm sure some of you are thinking: And who are these?

I will try to give you a definition of what an art sharer does, even if it is not that simple. They are people who are passionate about art (some of them may study it at university, just like me), and who choose to open social media profiles to share with their followers exhibitions, museums and experiences that they do to promote the beauty of our country (and not only).

It was love at first sight. I said to myself: I have to do it.

This is the story behind the birth of @brezzadarte.

A few months later, also the YouTube channel 'Giulia Bendinelli', in which I let those who follow me discover wonderful places and art pieces, was opened-

So here we are.

Why have I opened this blog?

Well, there are two answers to this question.

The first is the most pragmatic and boring one: having a representative website allows me to reach more people than before and bla, bla, bla.

By contrary, the second response is the more sentimental one, the one that really pushed me to write this article: having a blog has always been a dream of mine. Even when I was I child I wrote diaries, little thoughts, articles for the school newspaper and stuff like that... I even started a blog in 2010, who knows what happened to it.

So I would say that writing has always been a strong need for me and perhaps one of my favorite way of communication because it allows me to explain myself in a complete and exhaustive way.

This is my full story.

I hope that you have found it interesting and that you will start (or continue) following me. Of course I remind you to subscribe to the newsletter to know all the updates about the world of contemporary art (I swear, no spam) and to follow me on my social profiles!

Lots of love,

Giulia
